Dear Host Family

First of all I want to thank you for reading my letter and giving me the opportunity to live a half-year in the U.S. To make your decision easier I want to give you a little impression about who I am.

My name is Robin, I’m fifteen years old.

I live next to a big city of Germany, which is called Frankfurt.

My family that means my mom, my dad, my older sister and my dog . They are an important point in my life and I play often games like chess or other things with them. I still have a good touch to my father and I make a bit sport with him. In my free time I like to do sports. I play tennis and volleyball. When I was a little boy at the age of 5 I started to play tennis and with 12 years to play volleyball too. Next to sports I’m interested in reading Mangas and playing card games, chess and to have holidays and travel in other countries like Italy. But I also like it to relax.

I´m looking for my first school day in America. Here in Germany the school is a little bit different than the school in the USA. The school starts usually at 7:45 am and ends at 1 pm. Someone like me who likes to do sport has to do it privately. That’s why I like there are so much sport offered after school.

I´m in my 10th grade right now and my favourite subjects in school are sport, scientist and history.

I like to try new things, find out about different cultures, people and languages. I think that living in the USA will be an awesome experience for me and that it will have a big influence of my personality. As well I hope that after the time in your family, America will be a second home to me. I´m happy that I will soon get the chance to get to know the country and the American way of life

It would be nice if you lived in a warm environment so that I could play tennis outside all time. If you had a child in my age, that wouldn´t bother me, I just care that you are nice people
